(2017 Vintage Notes)
The color is striking, with very light pigmentation (no maceration). The nose, with its subtle buttery notes, bursts with complexity. The palate is round and vinous, with a unique finish. Rich and exuberant in its youth, it will also age gracefully over the years, developing amber hues. A truly unique rosé!

About the estate:

Yannick and Benoît Amirault are perfectionist winemakers who made a natural transition to organic farming. They cultivate 19 hectares of Cabernet Franc, two-thirds of which are in Bourgueil and the rest in Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil, with a rich heritage of old vines in each area.

Wine rated 15.5/20 (2017 vintage) (Good wine)

Rated Estate (2026 Guide) 2*Stars (These exceptional estates, often boasting fabulous terroirs, are must-haves that, thanks to the consistency and excellence of their wines, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers)

About the estate:

Benoît arrived at the family estate in Bourgueil in 2003 to continue the family venture started by his father, Yannick, in 1997. Two-thirds of the vineyard is located in Bourgueil, with the remainder in the neighboring appellation of Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil. You can sense the winemakers’ perfectionism and their commitment to expressing the terroirs through Cabernet Francs that are silky smooth and refined, yet retain vibrant fruit. The estate has been certified organic since 2009, and the wines gain in purity each year thanks to increasingly precise winemaking techniques (truncated-cone wooden vats, barrels, and stoneware jars). The 2022 and 2023 vintages delight us with their frank, clean expression and finesse.

A table rosé with plenty of body and a long finish—it may not be to everyone's taste, but it's very well made. A real find.

Excellent in every way. A rosé that was universally praised, especially after being allowed to breathe.

I don't understand what people see in it. It's more like a white wine than a rosé (in a blind tasting, I think a lot of people would be fooled). It's not worth the price, in my opinion.

I'm not usually a big fan of rosé, but I found this wine exceptional. It's a very well-rounded wine, with minerality, light oak, and good length.

Not worthy of a renowned winemaker. Undoubtedly a wine made with exogenous yeasts. It certainly has good body, but it’s weighed down by a chemical taste. A disappointment.

Such subtlety, such finesse! And yet it has character. A wine that makes you fall in love with rosé all over again.

The rosé has a beautiful color, but I was disappointed—it feels sparkling on the palate, which is a real shame. Really disappointed

What a nice surprise! A rosé that strays a bit from the beaten path—and it's really interesting.
