Domaine Yannick Amirault
Domaine Yannick Amirault is in the hands of a meticulous, perfectionist winemaker, Yannick Amirault. The Domaine Yannick Amirault vineyard covers 19 hectares in Bourgueil and Saint-Nicolas, in the Loire Valley, and has been under biodynamic conversion since 2009. The vines of Domaine Yannick Amirault, planted exclusively with Cabernet Franc, are worked with the greatest care, in the old-fashioned way, with ploughed and grassed soils. Each plot is vinified separately, and the grapes, always of excellent ripeness, express the terroirs from which they come.

In the cellar, Yannick Amirault is an advocate of long vinifications. No must correction, fining or filtration before bottling. The wine is then aged for a minimum of 12 months in demi-muids or foudres. This work enables Domaine Yannick Amirault to produce wines of excellent quality in the Bourgueil and Saint-Nicolas de Bourgueil appellations.

"A gourmet rosé that's as tasty as they come!

Rosé d'Equinoxe by Yannick Amirault exudes a fresh, complex bouquet of floral aromas, white fruits and hints of blood orange. The palate is taut and energetic, juicy and fresh, with a long, delicate finish. Luscious in its youth, it is capable of maturing over the years.

"A confidential cuvée, released only in exceptional vintages.

A great Cabernet-Franc, balanced, full-bodied, intense and extremely precise. A cuvée produced in small quantities. As Yannick Amirault likes to say, "It's richly good!

"Dense and unctuous, this cuvée elegantly reveals an exceptional terroir".

"Le Grand Clos 2022 is sure to seduce even the most discerning palate. Draped in a superb carmine color, this wine offers a rich palette of jammy black fruits, toasted wood and chocolate. Marked by a hearty chewiness on the attack, the palate unfolds, voluminous and complex, with discreet woody notes of caramel and well-refined tannins. A fine cuvée that will express itself even better in a few years' time". (Le Guide Hachette 2025).

"An elegant Saint-Nicolas de Bourgueil!

"A seductive, well-balanced, mineral red with a touch of pulp. On the nose, it presents notes of plums, blueberries, pits and frozen leaves. Medium-bodied, with fine tannins. Velvety and succulent, it has a crushed purple fruit character and more crushed stones in the concentrated, lively, mineral finish. Drink now or cellar. (James Suckling 2024)

"Delicious according to La RVF!

"Irresistible fruity and floral nose, full of youth and radiance. This sensation is echoed on the full-bodied palate, led by salivating tannins. Delicious." (La Revue du Vin de France - July / August 2025)

"Mad charm!"

Made from vines over 40 years old, Les Quartiers is a wine that expresses all the power of its grape variety, Cabernet Franc, planted in clay-limestone soil. Still in its youth, it has a very bright future... for those who know how to cellar it for a few years. Perfect balance between power, delicacy and freshness, magnificent!

"Still contained by its youth and ageing, La Petite Cave 2018 is moving more towards a solar balance, less fresh but still retaining a seductive velvety texture. More than fifteen years of cellaring will reveal it." (Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France 2022 - RVF). A dense, deep wine, in a roasted style with black cherry and cocoa notes. The palate is both sanguine and refined, with a beautiful fatness that perfectly matches the powdery, racy tannins. This is a highly refined cuvée that is already very enjoyable when young. Great class for this cuvée of great terroir!

"Fruit in its purest expression

This cuvée, made from the estate's youngest vines, once again highlights the fine work of its creator, Yannick Amirault. The fruit is there, accompanied by superb substance and pleasant roundness. The ripeness of the grapes has a lot to do with it, as does the care taken in vinification. Delicious and supple!

La Coudraye shines with consistency, vintage after vintage. A consistently expressive Bourgueil, with delicate, slightly spicy notes of pomegranate and cranberry. A fresh, fruity wine, both crisp and delicious... A sure value to be discovered in a fine vintage!
