Yannick Amirault Estate
Domaine Yannick Amirault is run by a meticulous and perfectionist winemaker, Yannick Amirault. The estate’s vineyards span 19 hectares in Bourgueil and Saint-Nicolas, in the Loire Valley, and have been in the process of converting to biodynamic farming since 2009. The vineyards of Domaine Yannick Amirault, planted exclusively with Cabernet Franc, are tended with the utmost care, using traditional methods with plowed and grass-covered soils. Each plot is vinified separately, and the grapes, always perfectly ripe, clearly express the terroirs from which they come.

In the cellar, Yannick Amirault is a proponent of extended vinification. Here, there is no correction of the must, no fining, and no filtration before bottling. Aging lasts a minimum of 12 months in demi-muids or large casks. This approach allows Domaine Yannick Amirault to produce wines of excellent quality in the Bourgueil and Saint-Nicolas de Bourgueil appellations.
