Domaine Yannick Amirault

Domaine Yannick Amirault is run by a meticulous and perfectionist winemaker, Yannick Amirault. The Domaine Yannick Amirault vineyard spans 19 hectares in Bourgueil and Saint-Nicolas, in the Loire Valley, and has been in the process of converting to biodynamic farming since 2009. The vineyards of Domaine Yannick Amirault, planted exclusively with Cabernet Franc, are tended with the utmost care using traditional methods, with plowed and grass-covered soils. Each plot is vinified separately, and the grapes—always perfectly ripe—faithfully express the terroirs from which they come.

In the cellar, Yannick Amirault favors extended winemaking processes. Here, there is no adjustment of the must, and no fining or filtration before bottling. Aging lasts a minimum of 12 months in demi-muids or large oak casks. This meticulous approach allows Domaine Yannick Amirault to produce wines of excellent quality under the Bourgueil and Saint-Nicolas de Bourgueil appellations.
