Château Soucherie - Coteaux du Layon Vieilles Vignes 2011
Award: RVF 2011 vintage Great success
This cuvée expresses itself powerfully with aromas of fresh white and yellow fruits (apricots, peaches, mirabelle plums, etc.), exotic fruits, and citrus fruits. The palate is round, velvety and smooth with the same aromas dominated by the freshness of exotic fruits, reinforced by a citrus note that highlights the slightly tart finish. Exquisite!

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2019 guide) 2 stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more consistent and uniform than the previous one)
About the estate:
Anjou, Savennières, Coteaux-du-Layon, and Chaume find subtle and sincere expression here. A sure bet.

Rated estate (2019 guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking and, as such, all the estates listed in it, even those without stars, represent, in our opinion, the excellence of French production.)
About the estate:
Roger-François Béguinot, who made his fortune in baby food, and his wife fell in love with Château Soucherie in 2007. This 28-hectare estate is beautifully situated on a south-facing schist hillside between Beaulieu and Rochefort, in the Anjou, Savennières, Coteaux du Layon, and Chaume appellations.
