Château Soucherie
Château Soucherie is situated on a schist hillside on the border between Beaulieu-sur-Layon and Rochefort-sur-Loire. The Château Soucherie vineyard spans 36 hectares across the Anjou, Coteaux du Layon Chaume, and Savennières appellations.
The Château Soucherie estate, currently in the process of transitioning to organic farming, is managed using sustainable agriculture practices to ensure respect for the vines, the grapes, the heritage, and the diversity of the terroirs. All vineyard work at Château Soucherie is done by hand: from leaf removal and debudding to trellising and the harvest. The AOC Chaume and AOC Coteau-du-Layon sweet wines, the treasures of Château Soucherie, are made from 100% botrytized grapes.
