RVF
“Aging in terracotta eggs accentuates the roundness of this vintage. Full-bodied, rich, and flavorful. A full-flavored Muscadet for winter.” (The Guide to the Best Wines of France 2019 - RVF) A briny edge, lovely freshness, and a lightly tannic finish. A Muscadet that breaks the mold—silky and elegant!

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2026 guide) 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production that lives up to what one would expect from its appellation(s))
About the estate:
Jean-Jacques Bonnet and Vincent Pineau are the duo at the helm of this family-run estate, which is cultivated using biodynamic methods, with the aim of bringing out the best in the gneiss, mica schist, amphibolite, and granite soils. All the wines are increasingly expressing the terroirs, a superb achievement exemplified by the Goulaine village wine, which is powerful and built for aging.

About the wine:
Aging in terracotta eggs enhances the roundness of this vintage. Full-bodied, rich, and flavorful. A full-flavored Muscadet for winter.
About the estate:
The Bonnet-Huteau family has been at the helm of the family estate for 150 years. Today, two passionate winemakers, Jean-Jacques Bonnet and Vincent Pineau, manage the 40-hectare property, which was certified biodynamic in 2010. Four terroirs are vinified separately to bring out their finest expression. On Les Dabinières—with its warm gneiss and mica schist soils—the fruit expresses itself with roundness. On the amphibolite and mica schist of Les Gautronnières, the melon notes become mineral and taut. The poor, granitic soils of Les Laures yield a denser, more complete wine. Produced in the finest vintages and aged for 18 months on lees (the minimum requirement), the Goulaine village wine reveals its depth and is well-suited for aging. While the wines are full of energy, we do have reservations about the Medolia cuvée, whose aging in dolia seems to diminish its natural vitality.

A "Vin de France" that breaks from our usual Muscadet offerings, yet boasts a beautifully balanced richness and should age well... in a good cellar!
