Château Carpe Diem - Côtes de Provence rosé 2020
91/100
RVF
“A blend of Grenache and Syrah with a touch of Rolle, this pale-hued wine offers tension and refined fruitiness against a lovely mineral backdrop. Its crispness highlights its silky texture.” (La Revue RVF May 2021 No. 650) This intense and expressive rosé reveals pleasant aromas of red berries followed by delicate notes of vine peaches. From the first sip, the palate reveals a lovely freshness brought by citrus, followed by a slightly sweet and smooth roundness reminiscent of crushed strawberries. The finish gives way to a more mineral structure that perfectly reveals the Carpe Diem terroir.

About the estate:
Carpe Diem, the famous Latin phrase, means “Seize the day without worrying about tomorrow.” A motto taken to heart by Albéric Philippon, who took over the estate in 2013. Located on the clay-limestone soils of Cotignac, the estate now spans 30 hectares. Visitors to the region can find the winemaker and his wines every Tuesday at the Cotignac market.
