Bettane & Desseauve
"Still a young vintage, but with undeniable potential!
A trio of unequal proportions of Syrah, Cabernet-Sauvignon and Grenache that flourish on a dolomitic clay-limestone terroir. The nose, rather discreet on opening, opens up to a beautiful complexity filled with notes of undergrowth, leather, garrigue, black fruits (blackberry, blueberry) and red fruits (fresh cherry), coffee, mocha, a touch of vanilla, cinnamon, licorice and immortelle flowers. The palate is velvety and mineral, with tertiary aromas of coffee and undergrowth, as well as fresh black fruit and fig, to which are added hints of cocoa and pepper, ending with a licorice finish.

Domaine noté Sélectionné (An estate or house that has won us over with one or more wines from its production, without us being able to give a general opinion on the style of the entire range)
About the domain :
Carpe Diem, the famous Latin phrase, means "Seize the day without worrying about tomorrow". A motto taken to heart by Albéric Philippon, who took over the estate in 2013. Situated on the clay-limestone terroirs of Cotignac, the estate now covers 30 hectares. Visitors to the region can find the winemaker and his wines every Tuesday at the Cotignac market.
