"A well-developed palette, dominated by Marsanne with hints of beeswax, dried fruit, and a touch of honey. The wood aging adds a certain smoothness. The palate is full-bodied and vinous, with a broad mid-palate nicely balanced by lovely bitter notes." (Le Guide RVF 2024).

Wine rated (2024 guide) 91/100

About wine:

A well-developed palette, dominated by Marsanne with hints of beeswax, dried fruit, and a touch of honey. The wood aging adds a certain smoothness. The palate is full-bodied and vinous, with a broad mid-palate nicely balanced by lovely bitter notes.

About the estate:

Château des Tourettes has a beautiful vineyard on the Apt plateau. Maine and Jean-Marie Guffens have almost completely restructured the vineyard, affirming their desire to create a beautiful terroir through massal selection replanting. The wines are faithful to Jean-Marie Guffens' style, always offering a balance between ripe grapes and a mineral tension on the finish. Jean-Marie and Maine are refocusing production on whites and putting an end to the Guffens du Sud négociant business.
