One of the blockbusters of the vintage, this ink-colored 2012 Châteauneuf-du-Pape La Reine des Bois offers fantastic richness and depth in its aromas of blackberry liqueur, graphite, smoke, and mineral flavors. An elegant, chic and refined edition of this cuvée, which in my mind is similar to the 2010. Medium-bodied to full-bodied, concentrated and with fine tannins, it will be good to drink for 10 to 15 years." (Wine Advocate - Robert Parker)

Bettane & Desseauve
Wine rated (2015 guide) 16,5/20 (Reference wine)
Rated estate (2024 guide) 4 stars (Producers of very high quality, those who are the pride of French vineyards)
About wine:
Great color, magnificent texture, deep and complex.
About the estate:
The estate offers expressive wines from the finest vineyards in Vaucluse and Gard. Everything is done with the utmost respect for the terroirs, with the aim of producing wines that live up to their potential. Madeleine Delorme, accompanied by her daughter Ambre, continues to work with great care and determination in the spirit of excellence that characterizes the estate and this winegrowing family. A superb range of salty, full-bodied whites and deep, delicate reds, enlivened by a thirst-quenching tension and a perfectly balanced structure. The estate is moving towards increasingly racy and precise wines. The fourth star is fast approaching.
Guide Hachette des vins
Wine noted (guide 2015) 1*Star (Very successful wine)
Rated estate (2024 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly awarded by the guide)
About wine:
This Queen of the Woods looks beautiful in her intense, luminous dress. Equally intense is the nose, which opens with black fruit and light oak. The palate is very well-balanced, with plenty of body, structure, and freshness. A well-bred wine, ready for aging.
About the estate:
Created in 1986 by Francis Delorme and his son Christophe, the 58-hectare estate (certified organic and biodynamic) is spread over 38 plots and eight communes. Following Christophe's untimely death in 2015, his wife Madeleine and their daughter Ambre took over the reins of the estate. Advocates of low yields, the Delormes produce vintages with disconcerting ease, whether in Tavel, their original stronghold, Lirac, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, or "simple" Côtes-du-Rhône. Unmissable.
Guide des Vins Gault & Millau
Wine rated (2015 guide) 16,5/20 (Very good)
About wine:
Powerful yet imbued with a certain delicacy of tone, this wine combines the most stormy flavors (blue and black fruits, bramble and grape stalk, hints of earth) within a sensual texture, golden from the sun and softened by bitter notes!
