“A surprising rosé with subtle notes of strawberries enhanced by a hint of saltiness—the perfect table rosé!”
This rosé de saignée from the southern Rhône Valley presents itself in a garnet hue. Delicious aromas of wild strawberries, raspberries, redcurrants, and lemon mint mingle in the glass. On the palate, supported by lovely acidity, it offers mineral and fruity notes, with plenty of body, depth, and freshness.

About the estate:
François Collard is a regular in the Guide, with his wines often ranking highly. Established in 1994, he began bottling wines from the family vineyards (65 hectares certified organic since 2014) under two labels: Mourgues du Grès, which belonged to the Ursuline convent of Beaucaire until the Revolution, and La Tour de Béraud, named after a 14th-century watchtower Never short on ideas, the Collard couple invites visitors to explore every facet of the estate via a marked trail equipped with Bluetooth markers.

I’m not entirely convinced by this unique, distinctive rosé, which is dominated by sparkling red berries and pomelo, complemented by herbaceous notes and a hint of pepper. The palate is full-bodied and lively, with a dense, creamy texture and a crisp finish featuring a surprising salty note. On the decline, this easy-drinking wine should be enjoyed without delay and in all simplicity to accompany Mediterranean cuisine, such as a salad of roasted peppers with garlic or Provençal-style tuna. Rating = 3.4.
