Domaine Les 4 Vents - Les 4 vents 2019

Notes of smoked meat lend a savory, meaty depth to the black cherry and blackcurrant flavors in this robust Syrah. Aging in both barrels and tanks balances the rich black fruit with lively acidity and chalky, lingering tannins. Somewhere between supple, smooth, and full-bodied, the 4 Vents cuvée is an exceptional and elegant example of Crozes.

Rated Estate (2021 Guide) Selected (An estate or winery that impressed us with one or more of its wines, though we are unable to offer a general assessment of the style of its entire range)
About the estate:
Lucie and Nacy Fourel withdrew their vineyards from the cooperative winery in 2010, the year of their first vintage. Today, their 10 hectares are vinified using native yeasts and without SO2, with more convincing results in their reds than in their whites.
