Syrah
elegant
Ardèche bombine

Notes of smoked meat lend a savory, meaty appeal to the black cherry and cassis flavors in this broad-shouldered Syrah. Aging in both barrels and vats balances the fleshy black fruit with lively acidity and chalky, lingering tannins. Halfway between supple, smooth, and full-bodied, the 4 Vents cuvée is an exceptional and elegant representative of Crozes.

Rated estate (2021 guide) Selected (An estate or winery that impressed us with one or more of its wines, but where we are unable to give an overall opinion on the style of the entire range)

About the estate:

Lucie and Nacy Fourel took their vines out of the cooperative winery in 2010, the year of their first vintage. Today, their 10 hectares are vinified using indigenous yeasts and without SO2, with more convincing results for reds than whites.
