"Freshness and Summer Fruits"
“Briefly aged in tanks and barrels, this wine opens with delicate notes of fresh almond, which carry through to a lively, refined palate that lets the white fruit shine through on the finish. A dynamic Crozes, remarkable for its freshness and balance, which has successfully overcome the heat of the vintage.” (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2021)

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2026 guide) 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production that lives up to what one would expect from its appellation(s))
About the estate:
Although this vineyard was founded in 1919, it is the current generation that has really put it on the map. Sébastien Girard has transitioned the twenty or so hectares to biodynamic farming. In the Saviaux and Châssis sectors of Crozes-Hermitage, the grapes ripen well—sometimes a bit too much when global warming comes into play. Thanks to the biodynamic practices implemented here, the wines retain their structure, remaining elegant and fresh, without succumbing to opulence or heaviness.
