Domaine de la Ville Rouge - Crozes Hermitage Crozes J'adore 2024
"A fresh and fruity Syrah"
This lovely, approachable red Crozes-Hermitage is the perfect pairing for your favorite moments. With a clear, brilliant deep red color and subtle violet highlights, this wine offers tangy, fruity notes of blackberry and cherry, violet, black pepper, mild spices, and a hint of smokiness. On the palate, it is pleasant, round, and crisp, with lovely freshness and notes of spice, blackberry jam, and a hint of licorice. The tannins are fine, slightly crisp but well-integrated. The finish is fruity, reminiscent of a summer cherry clafoutis, with a peppery and spicy touch.

Rated estate (2026 guide) 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production that lives up to what one would expect from its appellation(s))
About the estate:
Although this vineyard was founded in 1919, it is the current generation that has really put it on the map. Sébastien Girard has transitioned the twenty or so hectares to biodynamic farming. In the Saviaux and Châssis sectors of Crozes-Hermitage, the grapes ripen well—sometimes a bit too much when global warming comes into play. Thanks to the biodynamic practices implemented here, the wines retain their structure, remaining elegant and fresh, without succumbing to opulence or heaviness.
