“Despite its richness and full body, this Gigondas is elegant thanks to its skillfully crafted tannins. It has a lovely creamy texture and a long, complex finish. It’s very spicy, but it feels more like a tapestry of colors than an explosion of heat.” (James Suckling 2025)

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated 3 stars (A high-quality product that serves as a benchmark in its sector)
About the estate:
Over the past 15 years, the Perrin family of Château de Beaucastel has expanded by acquiring vineyards in the southern Rhône Valley. This strategy has proven successful both in the Luberon, with La Vieille Ferme, and in the other terroirs featured here. Their mastery of fermentation and appropriate aging techniques have played a major role in this success.

Robert Parker - Wine Advocate
Wine rated (2025 guide) 92+/100 (Outstanding wine)
Estate rated "Recommended" (Wine producer recommended by Robert Parker - The Wine Advocate)
About the wine:
Made from grapes grown on the estate and sourced from external suppliers in equal parts, the 2023 Gigondas La Gille reveals a rich, subtly reductive bouquet of spices, dark wild berries, and garrigue. Medium-bodied to full-bodied, juicy and lively, it is precise and complex, with velvety tannins that linger into a long, penetrating finish. It is a surprising blend of 90% Grenache Noir and 10% Syrah.
