The 2009 vintage was rated: Bettane & Desseauve 15/20 (Immediate pleasure), Guide Hachette 2* (Remarkable wine)
La Fermade red is a blend of Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Syrah from the Lirac plateau (rounded pebbles). A pure, fresh, fruity Lirac with spicy notes. The palate is generous, taut, and licorice-like, and the finish is chewy and persistent. A beautiful Lirac that exudes naturalness, best enjoyed after a few years of aging.

Guide Hachette des vins
Rated estate (2022 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer’s wines regularly receive awards from the guide)
About the estate:
This estate, known for its consistently high-quality wines—particularly its Lirac in all three varieties and its Tavel—was founded in 1950 by Armand Maby. In 2005, his grandson Richard took over the vineyard, which spans 53 hectares, mostly situated on the rounded pebbles of the Vallongue plateau; the vines are cultivated using natural methods and have been in the process of converting to organic farming since 2019. Since 2011, the eminent Rhône oenologist Philippe Cambie has been advising the estate.

A very nice bottle I bought on 1jour1vin.com. It was a bottle I’d almost forgotten about in my cellar, but it turned out to be a real treat! It has a deep, dark color and a dense, concentrated aroma with notes of spices and very ripe black fruits. A lovely bottle that was the perfect way to end our evening with friends...

Actually, I'm noting down 2005 because 2010 will have to wait
