"A gem in a bottle!"
The 2017 Edre is rich and velvety, offering notes of crushed stone and pencil shavings with layers of ripe black fruit. A blend of 60% Syrah, 25% Grenache, 10% Carignan, and 5% Mourvèdre, all aged for 18 months in second-use Bordeaux barrels, it is full-bodied and sumptuous, with a creamy texture, beautiful fruit presence, and a long, elegant finish." Bettane & Desseauve
Wine rated 17/20 (Reference wine)
Winery rated 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production, consistent with what one would expect from its appellation(s))
About wine:
Very well-balanced, the oak blends in and the wine's structure carries a mature and sincere aromatic expression. Still very young, with a vertical and fresh structure, it will evolve gracefully in the years to come.
About the estate:
Founded in Vingrau in 2002 by Jacques Castany and Pascal Dieumidou, this estate benefited from the expert advice of their neighbor Hervé Bizeul (Clos des Fées) from the outset. In 2004, its reputation took off thanks to Decanter magazine. However, even today, the two are still part-time winemakers, despite their 10 hectares of production. The cellar, housed in an old garage, remains simple but efficient. All of the vintages are very well made, making the estate a sure bet in Roussillon.

Rated estate (2020 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly recognized by the guide)
About wine:
Deep garnet, a Tautavel marked by spices (pepper), vanilla, and toasted bread. Balance and roundness are present on the palate, along with notes of leather and licorice, but it is clear that the wine is still developing. Be patient.
About the estate:
Jacques Castany worked in transportation and Pascal Dieunidou in IT. In 2002, they launched their wine-growing venture in a tiny cellar. It has been a success, as evidenced by their already impressive list of awards. The 10-hectare vineyard is located in Vingrau, facing a magnificent cirque dominated by limestone.

I am not Parker, but simply a wine enthusiast. For this 2017 vintage, a score of 93/100 for Domaine de l'Edre 2017 is not exaggerated.
