Domaine Modat

A clerk in Paris, Philippe Modat discovered that he was passionate about working in the vineyards. He divided his time between Paris and Roussillon before settling permanently on the estate. Founded in 2007, Domaine Modat has already come a long way. Now his two sons are brilliantly carrying on the family tradition. They are the new faces of a Roussillon vineyard undergoing a renaissance.

Domaine Modat has almost exclusively century-old vines and has been certified organic and biodynamic since 2015. Their vineyard covers 25 hectares.

Domaine Modat works with respect for the grapes and aims to be as non-interventionist as possible during the winemaking process.
