This 2016 vintage, made from Grenache (80%) and Carignan grapes and aged for three months in vats, exudes sincerity. The nose is a magnificent fruit basket: wild strawberries, cherries, figs, and blackberries. Centered on intense aromas of licorice and red fruit jam, the palate is equally indulgent, carried by velvety tannins and energized by a fresh finish that leaves an impression of elegance and harmony." About the estate:
Founded in 1910, the Maury cooperative winery is now the oldest in the department still in operation. After the wine revolts of 1907, it brought together more than 130 owners. Today, the winery has 870 hectares of land belonging to its members; it lives off Grenache grapes, which produce traditional natural sweet wines and, since 2011, dry Maury wines.
