About the estate:

Founded in 1910, the Maury wine cooperative is now the oldest in the department still in operation. Following the winegrowers’ revolts of 1907, it brought together more than 130 winegrowers. Today, the winery manages 870 hectares of land owned by its members; it specializes in Grenache, which produces the traditional naturally sweet wines and, since 2011, dry Maury wines.

A full-bodied, juicy blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Carignan, the 2017 Tradition Schiste should be enjoyed soon. It is full-bodied, creamy, and supple, with ultra-ripe notes of cherry, stone fruit, and chocolate, as well as a high alcohol content and the warmth that goes with it.

A very good winery with robust, aromatic wines—and this is one of their more modest offerings!!! Just imagine their higher-end wines.... A must-visit winery.
