"A dominant Grenache Noir and tank aging for this little gem full of fresh fruit. While blackcurrant buds dominate the nose, the palate is rich, round, and fresh, evoking ripe, flavorful black cherries before a spicy finish." (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2019)

Guide Hachette des vins
Wine rating (2019 guide) 2 stars (Outstanding wine)
Rated estate (2019 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly recognized by the guide)
About wine:
A predominantly Grenache Noir blend aged in vats, this little gem is bursting with fresh fruit flavors. While blackcurrant buds dominate the nose, the palate is rich, round, and fresh, evoking ripe, juicy black cherries before a spicy finish.
About the estate:
Founded in 1910, the Maury cooperative winery is now the oldest in the department still in operation. After the wine revolts of 1907, it brought together more than 130 owners. Today, the winery has 870 hectares of land belonging to its members; it lives off Grenache grapes, which produce traditional natural sweet wines and, since 2011, dry Maury wines.
Robert Parker - Wine Advocate
Wine rated (2018 guide) 89/100 (Very good wine)
About wine:
A voluminous and juicy blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Carignan, Tradition Schiste 2017 should be consumed in the short term. It is full-bodied, creamy, and supple, with ultra-ripe notes of cherry, stone fruit, and chocolate, as well as a high alcohol level and accompanying warmth.

A very good estate with solid, fragrant wines. It's one of the most modest! Imagine their higher-end wines... Definitely worth a visit.

16+ - 17+/20. Well-balanced, fairly mellow attack, easy to drink, very successful blend: Carignan is fairly present without being overpowering. Very good value for money. A job well done.
