A subtle blend of the Southwest’s signature grape varieties, Gros Manseng and Petit Manseng, Torus Blanc Doux is crafted from the finest terroirs of Brumont’s two jewels: Montus and Bouscassé. A sweet wine with an open, inviting nose featuring exotic aromas (pineapple, lychee...) and a fresh, balanced palate thanks to the liveliness of the two grape varieties— truly delicious!

Rated Estate (2023 Guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking, and as such, all the estates listed here—even those without a star—represent, in our view, the pinnacle of French winemaking.)

About the estate:

Alain Brumont has forged his own distinctive style, sending wines from Madiran across the globe under the Château Montus label, which he acquired in 1980. Often bucking conventional wisdom, Brumont’s vintages reflect his great freedom in interpreting terroirs with yellow and red clay subsoils, which vary in composition from 20% to 40%. Tannat is featured in the château’s three cuvées—Prestige, XL, Montus, and La Tyre—and undoubtedly delivers the most spectacular profile of this challenging Pyrenean grape.
