About wine:
The Schoenenbourg displays great finesse and complexity, with subtle saline notes complementing the dynamic, clean, and firm structure of this beautiful white wine. Excellent aging potential.
About the estate:
Perfectionist Jean-Christophe Bott is one of Alsace's leading winemakers. He is committed to rigorous work in the cellar and in the vineyard, which is cultivated biodynamically. While it only covered 4 hectares when it was founded in 1953, the estate now has 15 hectares spread across seven communes. The wines here are full-bodied and smooth, with well-controlled richness and no heaviness whatsoever, particularly the Pinot Gris, which is definitely worth rediscovering. Each cuvée has both power and length on the palate, two qualities that lead to fullness. To top it all off, the estate offers slightly older vintages for sale and has recently started renting out cottages.

About wine:
This imposing dry Riesling is still young at almost 4 years old, with complex aromas of angelica, cardamom, candied lime, mirabelle plum, and flint. Its remarkable richness is enveloped by a very firm mineral core. The finish is long and compact, softening as it rolls across the palate. Made from biodynamically grown grapes. Drink now or cellar.
