“A style that is decidedly more mature and expressive than most Catena Zapata vintages. [...] The nose is deep and fruity, with aromas of black fruits, pleasantly enhanced by a delicate floral note that intensifies with aeration. On the palate, it is velvety and rich, yet offers remarkable freshness, leading to an explosive, ripe, and powerful finish dominated by juicy fruit. 2024–2031” (Robert Parker 2025) - Delivery in a wooden case is available for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (depending on the country and selected shipping method)

Wine rated (2025 guide) 94/100 (Outstanding wine)

Estate rated "Recommended" (Wine producer recommended by Robert Parker—The Wine Advocate)

About the wine:

With a style that is decidedly more mature and expressive than most Catena Zapata wines, the 2023 Malbec Argentino is a blend of massal selections from ungrafted vines sourced from two vineyards on opposite sides of the globe: the Angélica vineyard in the Lunlunta district of Maipú, and the Nicasia vineyard in Paraje Altamira. Vinified entirely in large oak casks with 20% whole clusters, it was then aged for 12 months. The nose is deep and fruity, with aromas of black fruits, pleasantly enhanced by a delicate floral note that intensifies with aeration. On the palate, it is velvety and rich, yet offers remarkable freshness, leading to an explosive, ripe, and powerful finish dominated by juicy fruit. 2024–2031
