Gamay

wine with friends

"The perfect companion for your dinners with friends!"

"This wine shows what was possible in the difficult 2024 vintage. Very young, energetic, and lively, it has a healthy core of moderately dry tannins. Its pronounced minerality is as striking as its abundant aromas of black cherry and wild blackberry. The long, slightly savory finish has excellent intensity. " (James Suckling 2025)

Bettane & Desseauve

Rated estate (2023 guide) 2 stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more consistent and uniform than the previous one)

About the estate:

Originally from Bresse, Anita Khunel, after a brilliant career as a road cyclist (she competed in the World Championships in Slovenia in 1996!), decided to return to the family estate that same year. She learned the trade of viticulture and winemaking before creating her own winery in 2015: Domaine Anita. Today, the estate encompasses six appellations: Moulin-à-Vent, Chénas, Morgon, Fleurie, Beaujolais, and Beaujolais-Villages. Known for her structured style, Anita Kuhnel gains in precision and balance every year. 2017 is a great success. We are not far from the third star!
