"Beaujolais in large format"
"The stunning nose of black cherry and spices may knock you off your feet for a moment, but that's how this magnificent Beaujolais presents itself. Excellent concentration and a beautiful balance between freshness and spicy depth, beautifully integrated, fine tannins and a long finish that displays a beautiful marriage of bitter chocolate and minerality. Drink now or keep. " (James Suckling 2021). Especially in magnum format, this wine has the ideal profile to spend many years in the cellar.

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2023 guide) 2 stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more consistent and uniform than the previous one)
About the estate:
Originally from Bresse, Anita Khunel, after a brilliant career as a road cyclist (she competed in the World Championships in Slovenia in 1996!), decided to return to the family estate that same year. She learned the trade of viticulture and winemaking before creating her own winery in 2015: Domaine Anita. Today, the estate encompasses six appellations: Moulin-à-Vent, Chénas, Morgon, Fleurie, Beaujolais, and Beaujolais-Villages. Known for her structured style, Anita Kuhnel gains in precision and balance every year. 2017 is a great success. We are not far from the third star!

Rated estate (2022 guide) Recommended (Wine producer recommended by Wine Enthusiast)
About wine:
The Les Caves vineyard is the source of this richly structured wine. Smoky from aging in wood, dense with black fruit and well-built with tannins suitable for aging, it is still quite young. Its aging potential is undeniable, so wait until at least 2022.
