"Hail Caesar!"

"Fifteen months of aging have contributed to producing a full-bodied, intense vintage with a solid density on the palate, supported by well-integrated tannins and expressing beautiful aromatic nuances dominated by pepper and black fruits. A wine of character, built to last." (Le Guide Hachette 2026)

About wine:

The estate cultivates sixty-year-old vines on a 3-hectare plot in Juliénas. The grapes were partially destemmed (30%) and the wine was aged for a long time in vats. Fifteen months of aging have resulted in a full-bodied, intense cuvée with a solid density on the palate, supported by well-integrated tannins and expressing beautiful aromatic nuances dominated by pepper and black fruits. A wine of character, built to last.

About the estate:

On the border between Burgundy and Beaujolais, this château takes its name from Sieur Bonnet, alderman of the town of Mâcon, who built a manor house there in 1630, where Lamartine later stayed. Acquired by the Perrachon family in 1973, the estate has 22 hectares of vineyards. Pierre-Yves Perrachon, who has been at the helm since 1988, was joined in 2013 by his daughter Charlotte, an oenologist. He has also partnered with a winegrower from the Mâconnais region to complement his estate with a wine merchant business, Bourgogne Sélect.

About wine:

Dusty and mineral, with savory aromas of red and blue fruits and notes of crushed stone, herbs, and white pepper. The medium-bodied palate is taut, juicy, and nicely framed by chalky tannins. Drink now or hold.
