Soufrandière Estate
The Domaine de la Soufrandière, a former estate located in Vinzelles in the southern Mâconnais region, was acquired in 1947 by A.J. Bret. At that time, the Domaine de la Soufrandière vineyard covered just one hectare, planted with AOC Pouilly-Vinzelles Climat "Les Quarts" grapes. A.J. Bret undertook the expansion of the vineyard, which was continued by Jean-Paul Bret, the third of A.J. and Louise Bret's four children.

Since 2000, Domaine de la Soufrandière has been run by Jean-Guillaume and Jean-Philippe Bret, a talented duo who favor a cultivation method that is as close to nature as possible. Both at La Soufrandière, where the vineyard is ECOCERT certified organic, and in their wine trading business (Bret Brothers), they work in partnership with passionate winegrowers who are attentive to their terroir. An exceptional south-easterly exposure of the oldest Chardonnay vines and the living clay-limestone soil rich in siliceous crystals give rise to the unique cuvée of the "Les Quarts" climat at Domaine de la Soufrandière.
