Rating: Robert Parker 91/100, RVF 15.5/20
“Unsurprisingly, Yves Vatelot produces a dry white wine that outshines its humble appellation. The blend offers a surprising texture, grapefruit aromas, and notes of lemon zest, with medium body, some smoky and earthy herbs on the palate, and a long finish. This beauty should be enjoyed within 3–4 years, or longer.” (Wine Advocate – Robert Parker)

Rated estate (2023 guide): 3 stars (High-quality production, setting the standard in its sector)
About the estate:
Yves and Stéphanie Vatelot are part of a generation of business leaders who became winemakers some twenty years ago. They have significantly enhanced the potential of this estate, both in the vineyard and in the cellars. With the guidance of Michel Rolland, they produce red and white wines of exemplary quality and consistency, which rank them among the appellation’s leading producers.

About the estate:
This year, Yves and Stéphanie Vatelot celebrated their 30th anniversary at the helm of Reignac. From the very beginning, the couple has gone all out to position their Bordeaux Supérieurs at the highest level, following the advice of Michel Roland. With the arrival of director Nicolas Lesaint in 2009, viticultural practices have evolved to align more closely with organic methods. This work is beginning to show in the wines, despite aging that is still somewhat intrusive. Extractions are more precise thanks to six small truncated-cone vats designed to match the specific characteristics of each vineyard plot.
