"A delicious, crisp dry white wine that everyone will love!"

“An abundance of fruit—ripe apple, lychee, and exotic fruits—with breadth and length: this fresh, indulgent wine makes your mouth water and calls for another glass. As complete and nuanced as its blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Gris with Muscadelle and Sémillon, it will appeal to everyone without reservation. ” (Guide Hachette des Vins 2024) — Made from a blend dominated by Sauvignon, the Château de Fontenille white wine possesses a lively and intense lightness. A dry white wine that pairs perfectly with a seafood platter or fish à la plancha.

About the wine:

An abundance of fruit—ripe apple, lychee, and exotic fruits—with breadth and length: this fresh, indulgent wine makes your mouth water and begs for another glass. As full-bodied and nuanced as its blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Gris with Muscadelle and Sémillon, it is sure to please everyone.

About the estate:

By 1290, the Fontenille estate in the Entre-deux-Mers region already had vineyards. Then part of the Abbey of La Sauve-Majeure, this estate with its clay-siliceous terroir became independent in the 17th century. Since 1998, it has been managed by Stéphane Defraine, who oversees 56 hectares of vineyards—20 planted with white grape varieties and 36 with red—currently in the process of converting to organic farming.

An average wine—too many Hachette stars. It tastes a bit dull.

A lovely grapefruit aroma, but the palate lacks liveliness
