About the wine:
An abundance of fruit—ripe apples, lychee, and exotic fruits—with breadth and length: this rich, fresh wine is mouthwatering and begs for another glass. As full-bodied and nuanced as its blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Gris with Muscadelle and Sémillon, it is sure to please.
About the estate:
By 1290, the Fontenille estate in the Entre-deux-Mers region already had vineyards. Then attached to the Abbey of La Sauve-Majeure, this estate with its clay-siliceous terroir became independent in the 17th century. Since 1998, it has been managed by Stéphane Defraine, who oversees 56 hectares of vineyards—20 planted with white grapes and 36 with red—currently in the process of converting to organic farming.

About the wine:
A Bordeaux blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris, Muscadelle, and Sémillon, resulting in a white wine with a rich, savory body. It has more substance than the average wine in this region. It offers a seductive, exotic finish.

Just an average wine—it’s been overrated. It tastes a bit flat.

A lovely grapefruit aroma, but the palate lacks liveliness
