Wine rated 14/20 (Good wine)

Rated estate (2016 guide) 1*Star (A high-quality, recommendable wine that lives up to what one would expect from its appellation(s))

About the wine:

This light-style Pauillac is supple and elegant, with lovely fruit. The oak needs a little more time to integrate.

About the estate:

In 1998, Bordeaux wine merchant Patrick Bernard (Millésima) purchased this 49-hectare vineyard, located in the commune of Saint-Sauveur, part of which extends into Pauillac and produces the Fleur-Peyrabon cuvée.

Hachette Wine Guide

Guide Hachette des vins

Wine noted (guide 2015) 1*Star (Very successful wine)

About the wine:

Deep red with intense cherry-colored highlights, the color is inviting. The bouquet, as powerful as it is pleasant, blends red fruits with spices and cocoa. Full-bodied, dense, and well-balanced, the palate reveals a solid structure, promising good aging potential.

Gault & Millau Wine Guide

Guide des Vins Gault & Millau

Wine rated (2015 guide) 14.5/20 (Good)

About the wine:

What character! This wine deserves some time before it settles into its intense, tannic profile. The wine needs time to open up; its fleeting fruity (plum) and spicy (cumin) notes will harmonize over time.

Robert Parker - Wine Advocate

Robert Parker - Wine Advocate

Wine rated (2014 guide) 87/100 (Very good wine)

About the wine:

One of the few Cru Bourgeois wines in the Pauillac appellation, this wine displays an intense ruby-plum color along with a delicate bouquet of black cherries and blackcurrants. It has good acidity and ripe tannins. This is a fine Cru Bourgeois that will be enjoyable throughout this decade.

RVF - The French Wine Review / Guide to the Best Wines of France

RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France

Wine rated (2016 guide) 15,5/20 (Good wine)

Rated estate (2016 guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking, and as such, all the estates listed here—even those without a star—represent, in our view, the pinnacle of French winemaking.)

About the wine:

In 2011, La Fleur Peyrabon revealed juicy fruit flavors and smooth tannins.

About the estate:

Owned by wine merchant Patrick Bernard (Millésima), Peyrabon produces two wines. The first, from the Haut-Médoc, is easily accessible and has moderate aging potential. The second, named Fleur de Peyrabon, comes from well-located vineyards in Pauillac (4 ha), but the extraction and aging process sometimes give it a slightly dry character. The wines are well-structured and offer good value for money.
