By aging her Burgundy Pinot Noir in concrete tanks, Agnès Paquet highlights the freshness of red fruit and the wine’s rich, indulgent character. The crisp acidity blends beautifully with the wine’s supple structure. A great value!

Bettane & Desseauve
Wine rated (2016 guide) 15/20 (2013 vintage) (Very good wine)
Rated estate (2021 guide): 2 stars (A solid, recommendable wine, though slightly more consistent and uniform than the previous vintage)
About the estate:
Agnès Paquet produced her first vintage in Meloisey in 2001 from a family-owned vineyard in Auxey-Duresses. She has masterfully managed her estate and now oversees 12.5 hectares in the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune, Auxey-Duresses, Chassagne-Montrachet, and Saint-Aubin, where the vines are tended with care according to organic principles. The whites are crisp and refined, and the reds—partially vinified from whole clusters—are precise and full-bodied. Of particular note is the production of a house sparkling wine, made using the traditional method and produced exclusively from Aligoté.
Guide Hachette des vins

About the estate:
Agnès Paquet founded her estate in 2000 on a plot of land acquired by her family in the 1950s. Located in the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune, she cultivates 9.5 hectares of vineyards, a large portion of which are in Melin, a hamlet of Auxey-Duresses. The transition to organic farming is underway.

Rated estate (2021 guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking, and as such, all the estates listed here—even those without a star—represent, in our view, the pinnacle of French winemaking.)
About the estate:
It was to prevent the sale of the family vineyard in Auxey-Duresses that Agnès Paquet, a business school graduate, chose to become a winemaker. She released her first vintage in 2001. Her style consistently emphasizes honesty and freshness, which we greatly appreciate.

Quite harsh and almost entirely acidic. I had a hard time finishing my glass and didn't pour myself another...
