“Charming and exuberant, Clément’s 2018 Burgundy Pinot Noir bursts with aromas of red plum, cherry, and spices. On the palate, it is medium- to full-bodied, fleshy, and supple, with a generous core of succulent fruit enlivened by a delicate touch that highlights its crisp, eminently drinkable fruit profile.” (Wine Advocate 2020)

Terroirs

These terroirs are often very close to the most renowned vineyards (sometimes just a few dozen or a few hundred meters away). They are located at the foot of the hillsides, on limestone soil mixed with clay and marl, stony if not rocky, well-drained, and where water rarely pools.

Eye

A richly colored wine, starting out purple and deepening with age to a deeper ruby hue, eventually turning violet

Nose

The bouquet opens with a medley of red and black berries (strawberry, cherry, blackcurrant, blueberry), evolving into notes of cooked prune, peppery, animal, and undergrowth nuances, along with hints of moss and mushroom.

Palate

This red Burgundy is lively on the palate, well-structured, with a supple, rounded body. Its tannins and fruit engage in a dance where the texture balances the intensity of the secondary aromas. Full-bodied and rich, it is, in a word, vinous.
