great class

Les Combes 2018 offers a fresh and airy nose, full of class, typical of the Côte de Nuits, with aromas of black cherry and spices. Magnificent attack on the palate, which is velvety and full-bodied, with a perfect balance between maturity and acidity. There are notes of black fruit, wild plums, bark, hazelnut, coffee, as well as hints of spice, incense, beeswax, and dark chocolate, with tannins that are still firm but will soften with time... Superb!

3-star rating (High-quality production, serving as a benchmark in its sector)

About the estate:

More than just a novelty, it's a renaissance. The return of this old house is a welcome sight. The man who revived it is Laurent Delaunay. He is the great-grandson of the founder and has established himself as a leading figure in the Languedoc wine industry, specializing in wines for everyday enjoyment. It is in Burgundy, on his own land, that he once again demonstrates the full extent of his talent and vision. We particularly recommend the Nuits-Saint-Georges vintages, vinified with extreme care and attention to tannin extraction, resulting in voluptuous, tender wines that are always straightforward. The entire range is flawless.
