The nose of this red Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Charmont is intense and vibrant, offering notes of cherry and truffle, with a hint of toasted bread. The aromatic complexity is impressive, featuring spicy and fruity notes, as well as hints of cigar, incense, and citrus peel. It has a beautiful attack on the palate—round, fresh, and full-bodied—with tannins and acidity typical of the Hautes-Côtes that “sparkle” on the palate, demonstrating the fine aging potential of this characterful wine with its lovely freshness...

About the estate:

More than just a new release, it’s a rebirth. The return of this historic estate is a welcome sight. The man who brought it back to life is Laurent Delaunay. He is the great-grandson of the founder and has established himself as a leading figure in the world of approachable Languedoc wines in the mass market. It is in Burgundy, on his own land, that he once again demonstrates the full extent of his talent and vision. We particularly recommend the Nuits-Saint-Georges vintages, vinified with extreme care and a focus on tannin extraction that yields voluptuous, tender wines that are always well-structured. The entire range is impeccable.

About the estate:

Laurent and Catherine Delaunay, founders of the Badet-Clément wine house in Nuits-Saint-Georges, have revived the Édouard Delaunay wine merchant firm, founded in 1893 by Laurent’s great-grandfather. It offers a range of wines primarily from the Côte de Beaune and the Côte de Nuits, ranging from regional appellations to grand cru.
