"Sublime!"

“Delaunay pays special attention to this wine, and it truly lives up to its promise, with a medium-to-deep garnet color and pronounced blackberry fruit accompanied by smoky and mineral notes. The texture is tannic, but there’s nothing rough about it—just exceptional fruit purity and length. It is blended from grapes purchased from Belle Croix, Les Longecourts, and Aux Allots. In bumper years, the estate often downgrades certain Premier Cru barrels, but in 2021, this wine stands on its own and performs quite impressively.” (Decanter 2023)

About the estate:

More than just a new venture—it’s a rebirth. The return of this long-established winery is a welcome development. The man who revived it is Laurent Delaunay. He is the great-grandson of the founder and has established himself as a leading figure in the world of approachable Languedoc wines in the mass market. It is in Burgundy, on his own vineyards, that he once again demonstrates the full extent of his talent and vision. We particularly recommend the Nuits-Saint-Georges vintages, vinified with extreme care and a focus on tannin extraction that yields voluptuous, supple wines that are always well-structured. The entire range is impeccable.
