Domaine des Perdrix - Echezeaux 2011

Domaine des Perdrix - Echezeaux 2011

Notes: RVF 17/20, Bettane & Desseauve 17/20
"Great color, excellent vinosity, firm tannins, still in its infancy but certainly from a meticulously ripened and sorted harvest. " (Le Guide Bettane & Desseauve des Vins de France 2014). A wine that develops aromas of fresh fruit and red berries, with delicate and elegant tannins.

Rated estate (2021 guide) 4 stars (Producers of very high quality, the pride of French vineyards)

About the estate:

Run by the Devillard family, who also own Château de Chamirey in Mercurey, the vineyard is located on remarkable terroirs in the southern Côte de Nuits, and its production is vinified in the spirit of modern wines, seeking high grape maturity and deep, voluptuous textures. The results have been convincing for several years now, starting with the communal appellations, with very fine juices where we used to know them as rather solid. All the fullness possible in 2018 has been captured here, and these will be wines for aging, even very long aging for the Nuits and Echezeaux. Also a delightful red Burgundy.
