Domaine des Perdrix - Les Terres Blanches 1er Cru 2011

Notes: RVF 14/20
“As a white wine, the Nuits-Saint-Georges Les Terres Blanches Premier Cru, which is more full-bodied than long, with a slight nutty note, reveals a lovely briny sensation on the finish. ” (Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France 2014 - RVF). A very lovely, delicate, and fresh white wine, with delicious lime aromas...

Rated estate (2021 guide): 4* Stars (Producers of the very highest quality, the pride of French viticulture)

About the estate:

Run by the Devillard family, who also own Château de Chamirey in Mercurey, the vineyard is situated on remarkable terroirs in the southern part of the Côte de Nuits, and its wines are crafted in the spirit of modern winemaking, seeking high grape ripeness and deep, voluptuous textures. The results have been impressive in recent years, even among the village-level appellations, with wines that are now very refined—a departure from the more robust styles we were accustomed to. The 2018 vintage captures all its potential here; these will be wines for aging, and indeed for very long aging in the case of the Nuits and Échezeaux. There is also a delightful red Burgundy.
