Located near Beaune, the village of Pommard is one of the most renowned in the Côte de Beaune. The vineyards produce a wine with aromas of dark fruit and spices, accompanied by woody and smoky notes. A full-bodied red with fairly pronounced but well-integrated tannins. A truly fine wine!

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2020 guide) 4 stars (Producers of very high quality, those who are the pride of French vineyards)
About the estate:
With 120 hectares, including 70 in the Côte Chalonnaise, one of the most beautiful wine cellars in Burgundy in Nuits-Saint-Georges, and recent expansions such as the lease of the Zibetti estate and the takeover of the Dupont-Tisserand and Billaud-Simon estates, Faiveley is becoming more than ever an essential ambassador for the great wines of Burgundy throughout the world. And we are delighted that this is not at the expense of the high standards of quality and style across all appellations and price points. The careful consideration given to the work in the vineyard is bearing fruit, with the estate's wines showcasing the integrity and precision of each cuvée, both white and red. The 2017 range is once again successful and consistent.

About the estate:
Founded in Nuits-Saint-Georges in 1825, this estate has been a leading name in Burgundy for seven generations. Erwan Faiveley has been at the helm since 2005, having succeeded his father, François. Today, it is one of the largest vineyard owners in Burgundy: 120 hectares stretching from the northern Côte de Nuits to the southern Côte Chalonnaise, including 10 hectares of Grand Cru and nearly 25 hectares of Premier Cru.

Rated estate (2022 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing good-quality wines; you won't be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)
About the estate:
With the help of his technical director, Jérôme Flous, Erwan Faiveley took over from his father in early 2005 and has since been quietly revolutionizing this vast estate with its exceptional vineyard heritage, which has expanded in recent years. The style of the wines has subtly evolved: solidly built around a dense structure and less austere than in the past, they now display a clear fruit character that expresses itself earlier. While the oak notes were once somewhat green, they now take on toasted flavors. With better ripeness, the grapes from recent vintages tend to integrate better. All of the wines, particularly the reds, have improved considerably. A spectacular new winery was used for the first time for the 2018 harvest. This estate has successfully improved its wines with precision and intelligence.
