"In its stronghold, the estate demonstrates its ability to showcase the terroirs located in the village appellation. This 2017 vintage displays pleasant and subtle fruity notes enhanced by sweet spices. The palate is dense, with a hint of austerity on the finish that will mellow with time. " (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2020). Floral fruit, remarkable balance, the archetype of Nuits-Saint-Georges!

Wine rated 15/20 (Very good wine)
Rated estate (2020 guide) 4 stars (Producers of very high quality, those who are the pride of French vineyards)
About wine:
A hint of acidity should blend into this archetypal Nuits-Saint-Georges wine, which is very dark. Its balance is remarkable.
About the estate:
With 120 hectares, including 70 in the Côte Chalonnaise, one of the most beautiful wine cellars in Burgundy in Nuits-Saint-Georges, and recent expansions such as the lease of the Zibetti estate and the takeover of the Dupont-Tisserand and Billaud-Simon estates, Faiveley is becoming more than ever an essential ambassador for the great wines of Burgundy throughout the world. And we are delighted that this is not at the expense of high standards of quality and style at all levels of appellation and price. The careful consideration given to the work in the vineyard is bearing fruit, with the estate's wines showcasing the integrity and precision of each cuvée, both white and red. The 2017 range is once again successful and consistent.

About wine:
In its stronghold, the estate demonstrates its ability to showcase the terroirs located in the village appellation. This 2017 vintage displays pleasant and subtle fruity notes enhanced by mild spices. The palate is dense, with a hint of austerity on the finish that will mellow with time.
About the estate:
This estate, founded in Nuits-Saint-Georges in 1825, has been a prominent name in Burgundy for seven generations. Erwan Faiveley has been at its helm since 2005, succeeding his father François. Today, it is one of the largest vineyard owners in Burgundy, with 120 hectares stretching from the north of the Côte de Nuits to the south of the Côte Chalonnaise, including 10 hectares of grand cru and nearly 25 hectares of premier cru.

About wine:
The 2017 Nuits-Saint-Georges Village offers aromas of ripe cherries, wild berries, smoked meats, and spices. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, full, and fleshy, with fine but young structuring tannins, ripe acids, and an open profile. Unlike most vintages of this cuvée, it will drink well even when young.

Wine rated (2020 guide) 15,5/20 (Good wine)
Rated estate (2022 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing good-quality wines; you won't be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)
About wine:
Quite supple and pleasant, it highlights a floral fruit that embellishes its earthy sap. It is precocious.
About the estate:
With the help of his technical director Jérôme Flous, Erwan Faiveley took over from his father in early 2005 and has since been quietly revolutionizing this vast estate with its exceptional vineyard heritage, which has expanded in recent years. The style of the wines has evolved subtly: solidly built around a dense structure that is less austere than in the past, they now express a frank fruitiness that comes through earlier. While the woody notes were once a little green, they now take on toasty flavors. With better ripeness, the grapes from recent vintages tend to integrate better. All of the wines, particularly the reds, have improved considerably. A spectacular new winery was used for the first time for the 2018 harvest. This estate has successfully improved its wines with precision and intelligence.
