If you liked the 2018, you’re going to love the 2019. La Frérie never ceases to amaze us. Full-bodied and delicate, its floral profile—tinged with a slight hint of hazelnut in its youth—will evolve into aromas of undergrowth and truffle, enhanced by honeyed notes as it ages. A lovely Pouilly-Fuissé that truly reflects its terroir!

About the estate:
In 1946, Francis Auvigue joined forces with three other winemaker friends to establish a small wine merchant firm specializing in Pouilly-Fuissé. Jean-Pierre and Michel, Francis’s grandsons, took over in the mid-1970s and expanded into other appellations of the Mâconnais region. In 2017, the company acquired a 7-hectare vineyard estate and moved into the former church in Fuissé, which was renovated into a winemaking facility and tasting room. Today, Sylvain Brenas, Francis’s great-grandson, and Céline Hirsh are at the helm.
