“The quality of the Pouilly-Fuissé wines is top-notch: they are all rich, with superior aging management. ” (The Guide to the Best Wines of France 2012 - RVF). A very lovely white that perfectly exemplifies the appellation: rich and dense, with a most seductive aromatic profile...

Rated estate (2016 guide): 2*Stars (A solid, recommendable wine, though slightly more consistent and uniform than the previous vintage)

About the estate:

A workaholic with a passion for terroirs, Christophe Cordier is always on the move, with his businesses—both the family estate and the wine trading operation—constantly expanding. In both cases, he has invested in technical facilities of a caliber rarely seen in the region, at the cutting edge of oenological advancements. The plot-by-plot approach is precise, and aging styles are diversifying, but the sometimes excessive oakiness still masks the expression of certain vintages.

Rated estate (2015 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or high-quality winemakers producing wines of a good standard—you won’t be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)

About the estate:

Founded in 1945, the Cordier estate was taken over by Roger Cordier in 1971. The arrival of his son Christophe at his side a little over five years ago has not altered the wines’ exemplary style in any way. The estate has remained at the top of its game for many years.

An excellent Pouilly, very fresh yet supple and refined. Great value for the price. I hope to see it again on 1j1v.
