The Verget trading house is part of the Guffens-Heynen "trilogy", where Jean-Marie Guffens, supported by his loyal second-in-command Julien Desplans, applies the recipes tried and tested on his elite domaine since the 1980s, which serve as a worldwide benchmark for Chardonnay. The spearhead here remains the Mâconnais, but purchases from the Chablis region are regular and, depending on the vintage, there are some fine cuvées from the Côte de Beaune.
