Verget House
Maison Verget is a Burgundy wine merchant house now owned by two enthusiasts. Nothing predisposed Flemish-born Maine and Jean-Marie Guffens-Heynen to create a domaine which, in just a few years and through hard work, would become one of the most renowned in the world for the quality of its wines, apart from a shared passion for vines and wine and a particularly creative artistic sensibility.

This talented duo is also involved in the destiny of Maison Verget, a small wine merchant in the heart of the Mâconnais region, which is equally successful, as its wines demonstrate elegance, finesse, and the ability to convey, more than any other, expressions that are as close to the terroir as possible. Maison Verget's raison d'être is to bring out the full character of its appellations by revealing their terroirs. This process has been successfully implemented for some time now in the Chablis and Côte d'Or appellations. But it's in the Mâconnais region, historically a producer of generic wines, that this approach really comes into its own. This is where Maison Verget produces the most different wines for each appellation. This approach allows you to discover every aspect, every nuance, in a word, every subtlety of a single appellation. Thanks to its original approach, Maison Verget has become a laboratory of terroirs and a creator of climates.
