Clos des Rocs - Pouilly-Loché Monopole 2022

In 2002, Olivier Giroux purchased the Saint-Philibert estate in Loché and renamed it after his largest vineyard parcel, the Clos des Rocs. He cultivates 9 hectares of vines that are about 60 years old, 6 of which are in the Pouilly-Loché appellation. In 2006, he began converting the estate to organic farming and obtained certification in 2014. This young man in his forties has played a key role in raising the profile of Pouilly-Loché wines, for which he is the finest ambassador. Taking a hands-off approach in the cellar, he relies on moderate oak aging and unhurried bottling. His wines, characterized by great purity, captivate with their crystal-clear, fresh, and subtly oaky flavors.

Clos des Rocs Monopole is refined and precise, well-structured, briny, and mouth-watering; it deserves to age so it can relax a bit and reveal its full potential, as its texture is still a bit tight.

A powerful nose with notes of candied orange slices and baking spices, along with a slight mineral touch.
