Stemming from the locality of "En Charron" at an altitude of around 300 meters above sea level, the excellent sunshine and thin limestone soil, guarantee this cuvée a great deal of aromatic finesse. Thus, in its beautiful golden color, the wine displays a fresh, slightly roasted nose. The palate is captivated by aromas of almonds and hazelnuts and a certain smoothness combined with freshness. With a few years' ageing, the wine will evolve towards a truffle-like aromatic profile.

Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated (guide 2021) 2*Stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more regular and homogeneous than the previous one)
About the domain :
Bertrand Bachelet, a young winemaker since 2011, heads up this 13-hectare estate spread from Maranges to Pommard. Sustainable viticulture and cordon de Royat are de rigueur here, as are massal selections developed on the estate's oldest vines. A range characterized by wines with ripe, intense fruit. The reds, which account for the vast majority of production, are vinified de-stemmed in concrete vats and boast silky tannins, while the whites, without bâtonnage, offer roundness and juicy, honeyed orchard fruit aromas.
