Grown in the hamlet of “En Charron” at an altitude of approximately 300 meters, the excellent sun exposure and thin limestone soil ensure this cuvée possesses great aromatic finesse. With its beautiful golden color, the wine boasts a fresh, slightly toasty nose. On the palate, one is captivated by aromas of almonds and toasted hazelnuts and a certain creaminess combined with freshness. With a few years of aging, the wine will develop a truffle-like aromatic profile.

About the estate:

Bertrand Bachelet, a young winemaker who has been in business since 2011, heads this 13-hectare estate stretching from Maranges to Pommard. Sustainable viticulture and the Cordon de Royat training system are standard practice here, as are the massal selections developed from the estate’s oldest vines. The range is characterized by wines with ripe, intense fruit. The reds, which account for the vast majority of production, are vinified with the stems removed in concrete tanks and feature silky tannins, while the whites, made without stirring, offer roundness and aromas of juicy, honeyed orchard fruits.
