Upon arrival at the winery, the grapes are immediately pressed without prior crushing. After gentle pressing and a brief settling period, the musts are transferred directly to barrels.

Aged for 16 months, including 12 months in barrels of various sizes, the most commonly used being the traditional 228-liter Burgundian barrel (20% of which is new oak)

About the estate:

Bertrand Bachelet, a young winemaker who has been in business since 2011, heads this 13-hectare estate stretching from Maranges to Pommard. Sustainable viticulture and the Cordon de Royat training system are standard practice here, as are the massal selections developed from the estate’s oldest vines. The range is characterized by wines with ripe, intense fruit. The reds, which account for the vast majority of production, are vinified with the stems removed in concrete tanks and feature silky tannins, while the whites, made without stirring, offer roundness and aromas of juicy, honeyed orchard fruits.
