Bertrand Bachelet Estate
This 13-hectare family-owned estate was taken over in 2011 by Bertrand Bachelet, succeeding his father, Jean-Louis. He represents the fourth generation of a line of Burgundian winemakers. Currently, Bertrand cultivates 13 hectares spread across the Côte de Beaune, from Maranges to Pommard. The estate is based in Dezize-les-Maranges, one of the three villages of the Maranges appellation. This appellation accounts for the estate’s largest production.

With passion, Bertrand Bachelet carries on the family tradition, aiming to produce high-quality wines while drawing on new techniques from modern viticulture and oenology. The goal is to make the most of each terroir to produce a rich and diverse range of wines. The focus is on meticulous work in the vineyards to obtain healthy grapes, which are essential for crafting great wines. To best express each terroir, great importance is placed on soil management. From pruning to harvest, all work at the Bertrand Bachelet estate is carried out by hand. Vinification remains traditional and minimally interventionist, to best reveal the uniqueness and complexity of each of our terroirs.
