"The Elegance of Pinot Noir"

We are the first in France to release this new vintage. A blend of several Premier Crus, this Maranges Premier Cru offers a vibrant nose with aromas of red berries and blackcurrant. On the palate, the full elegance of Pinot Noir comes through, with fine, delicate tannins revealing a superb, dense, and flattering texture. This cuvée will reach its full potential within 3 years and has an aging potential of 10 years.

Rated estate (2021 guide) 2*Stars (A solid, recommendable vintage, though slightly more consistent and uniform than the previous one)

About the estate:

Bertrand Bachelet, a young winemaker who has been in business since 2011, runs this 13-hectare estate stretching from Maranges to Pommard. Sustainable viticulture and the Cordon de Royat training system are standard practice here, as are the massal selections developed from the estate’s oldest vines. A range characterized by wines with ripe, intense fruit. The reds, which account for the vast majority of production, are vinified destemmed in concrete tanks and feature silky tannins, while the whites, without stirring, offer roundness and aromas of orchard fruits—juicy and honeyed.
