Champagne Jacquesson
Champagne Jacquesson was founded in 1798 by Memmie Jacquesson. The house quickly prospered and caught the attention of Napoleon I, who awarded it a gold medal in 1810 "for the beauty and richness of its cellars."
Jacquesson will continue to refine its production techniques and maintain its position among the most renowned houses in Champagne. Acquired in 1974 by the Chiquet family, Jacquesson Champagnes now focus their efforts on producing an extremely high-quality range limited to 350,000 bottles, which allows them to use non-industrial production methods and create champagnes that serve as benchmarks for many connoisseurs. Thus, over 200 years of history and a unique, rigorous expertise have made Jacquesson Champagnes a flagship of today’s Champagne region!

The History of the House
Jacquesson ranks third on the list of the best champagnes selected by *La Revue du Vin de France*. Hot on the heels of Bollinger and Krug, Jacquesson stands out thanks to its high-quality bottles. Tasters consider this brand a true benchmark. The small house was founded in 1798. It produces approximately 350,000 bottles of champagne annually. To stand out from the crowd, it employs non-industrial production methods reserved for high-end vintages. Napoleon I was a true connoisseur of Jacquesson champagnes. In fact, he took care to award it a gold medal in 1810. The Chiquet family purchased the Jacquesson brand in 1974. They then established themselves in Dizy and spearheaded the reconstruction of a trendy house. The Chiquet brothers, who are passionate about wine, are behind the rebirth of this brand, which has taken the consumer market by storm. This champagne house draws on a 30-hectare vineyard located in Avize, Dizy, Ay, and Hautvillers. The brand is becoming increasingly well-known, but this has not led it to overproduce. In fact, the house remains focused on cuvées from single-vineyard plots.
Top-rated champagnes
Champagne connoisseurs favor the Jacquesson house, which offers exquisite cuvées with unique personalities. The low dosage and aging in large oak casks make each cuvée a true delight. The 736, for example, develops powerful, slightly salty aromas. However, it’s important to note that the number changes every year. Next year, the number will surely denote a different, more or less vibrant character. The house aims to delight you with its deep, complex aromas, enhanced by a lovely silky touch. Jacquesson’s Dizzy rosé surprises with its delicate fruity notes accented by a fresh, minty touch.
Wine by the glass
In 1999, Jacquesson sought to highlight its independence. To that end, it focused on its grape varieties and vineyards. It also made sure to showcase its people and its region. The 728 cuvée was launched, marking the debut of the 700 Cuvées Manifesto. Each bottle is marked with three digits representing the year of its creation.
Also discover the Jacquesson Cuvée 742, made from grapes harvested in Ay in 2014, as well as in Dizy and Hautvillers. This cuvée has a dosage of 1.5 grams per liter.
