About the wine:
Red and black fruit on the nose, with a lively, velvety texture, but this wine needs a few months to reach its full potential.
About the domain :
The vines, remarkably well cultivated, are located on the excellent slopes of Bisseuil, Ambonnay and Mesnil, resulting in well-balanced blends in all cuvées.

About the wine:
Still in its prime, the coteaux-champenois Athénaïs 2015 delivers dense flesh and acidity enveloped by luxurious, consensual breeding.
About the domain :
Xavier Gonet has set up on his own in Bisseuil, a premier cru in the Marne valley, with his wife Julie, née Médeville, of Château Gilette in Sauternes. They have an original range of vines at their disposal: the family's contribution of great Chardonnays from Mesnil-sur-Oger (Louvière, Champ d'Alouette), good Pinot Meunier vintages (Mareuil) and Pinot Noir (Ambonnay and Bisseuil). Malolactic fermentation is blocked to ensure the wine's liveliness when aged. An ever-increasing proportion of clear wines are fermented in barrels, which enhances the finesse of the bubbles. We appreciate the perfect homogeneity of a personal range, just reward for synchronized efforts in viticulture and vinification.
